synopsis post: recently i've been working on a rendering prototype. it's a Wolfenstein style fan raycaster. it has: displacement mapped walls terrain raycaster floors (entirely different tech, but texture matched). (angle constrained) real time shadows

after a few parries the hitspark and sound changes, sort of telling you it's safe to attack. What is it really indicating there? that's it's your "turn", or that you're plus? or that the boss doesn't have armor on its next attack? etc

Cave tileset is just about done. Something fun I thought I'd try is animated water. There are already 28 unique water tiles, so I wanted to keep the frame count as low as possible. I think I got decent results with 2 frames. #flarerpg #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #rpg #arpg
