Hi Brad. I was there covering it. Police shut down the gate for about 15-20 minutes, asked everyone to back up, which they did, and then started letting people in again. And there were at least two other entry ways with no protesters.
If you take out a loan, you pay it back. A student loan is no different from a house or car loan -- taxpayers shouldn't be forced to foot the bill. Student debt transfer is reckless and unfair to the 87% of Americans who either never took out loans or responsibly paid them back.
Here's a list of

Mullin, who financial disclosure reports show has a net worth in the millions of dollars, had nearly $1.2 million in federal PPP loans forgiven by the federal government.
We do not need farmers and ranchers, small business owners, and teachers in Oklahoma paying the debts of Ivy League lawyers and doctors across the U.S.
This places undue burden on those already suffering due to the weight of Biden’s failed economic policy.
Gov. Mary Fallin arrived in McAlester to tour a local business this morning, but was greeted by teacher protesters at the airport.

Rep. Kevin Hern (whose net worth is several million, owns several McDonald's franchises and pushed Congress to allow those types of businesses to receive PPP loans) and his spouse, had at least $2.6 million in federal PPP loans forgiven by the government.
Just discovered the public access computers at the Oklahoma Secretary of State’s office have been removed and probably are not coming back. So if you want to learn about corporations, nonprofits, etc., you’re going to have to pay around $5 per record. Not cool.

We’ve literally got the email from Mr. Walters to ClassWallet giving blanket approval for parents to buy anything on the ClassWallet platform with the taxpayer funds. He knows this.
Ryan Walters again blames a vendor tasked with helping distribute the money through an online platform. We previously reported that Walters granted “blanket approval” for parents to buy stuff like TVs, grills, and other noneducational items.
OK AG Gentner Drummond withdraws his predecessor's legal opinion that would allow taxpayer money to be given directly to religious charter schools saying the previous opinion “misuses the concept of religious liberty by employing it as a means to justify state-funded religion.”

Mr. Langston, did you do this of your own initiative, or was Secretary Walters aware of your plans? Also, just a note - I pulled those images from social media from other journalists, not from anything directly sent to me. It was that obvious.
As you can see, that's a lot of money going to powerful politicians, and much of it likely originated from taxpayer school funds before going into EPIC's private management company and distributed to the owners, who it appears then showered it upon your elected officials.
It's pretty silly for a govt agency to say it is banning a media outlet from interviewing a public official, as if it won't become that outlet's mission to crash every single press conference and public event that official holds from now until eternity to ask their questions.

“The Department of Education overpaid at least $290,000 in teacher bonuses and is working to claw back the money mere months after it was distributed. ... The overpayments occurred because the department did not verify teachers’ information before disbursement.”
