Rather than subsidizing natural gas interests, it would be cheaper, faster & cleaner to install dispatchable load rather than dispatchable supply. Natgas power plants take many years to build b/c they need to get air pollution permits (for their emissions) & water (for cooling).

Texas is experiencing record breaking heat. @ohmconnect Energy customers showed up in a big way — adjusting thermostats, delaying the start of their appliances, and generally saving energy for an hour and then another one. Amazing work by @mattduesterberg and the team.
