The electricity affordability crisis is upon us. GOP will surely blame Democrats without self awareness that global trade wars and throttling supply (especially projects that are almost complete!) makes electricity more expensive not less.
Trump seems committed to increasing electricity prices by any means necessary.

If we had electric heat pumps and invested in energy efficiency then we could have freed up enough gas during Winter Storm Uri to avoid the fuel shortages. Paper coming soon…
You could convert every heater in Texas to a cold climate air-to-air heat pump, and power them all with natural gas fired power plants, and it would reduce both peak electrical demand and peak gas demand.
