With each new doctor, at some single point I try asking them: how many patients out of 1000 does X happen to? I can never get over the blank look that appears in their eyes, then, like they don't know the number, nobody's ever asked before, and they've no idea why anyone would.

With both Notion and Origin, I’ve seen firsthand that the best investors are the ones who help, not hurt, when the chips are down and your life’s work is on the line. Dilution is a red herring. If I start another company, I’d apply to YC.
