Birmingham City honored devoted Charlton supporter "Headphones Norm" on the big screen today. In the 35th minute, every section of the stadium rose to their feet in memory of the Charlton Athletic legend. Classy from Birmingham. 👏❤️

He seems such a likeable fella too, one of the few positives for fans to cling to. Long may it continue.
Definitely a factor. Also feel his early performances were maybe tainted by a touch of imposter syndrome. That's only natural for a league newcomer. Clear he is very capable of flourishing at this level

I think it's mainly a case of a manager finally now playing the way to make the most of him!! Header v QPR and last night's finish were both fantastic goals. If he keeps scoring, he will be gone!!
Heggebø: a case study of a young man adjusting to a new country, a different working routine, & dealing with the oddities of settling into an unfamiliar environment Some bed-in quicker than others; some maybe never quite manage it #wba now seeing the real Heggebø. Good on him👊

Price has to play somewhere, you get your best players on the pitch that can turn or win a game. I'm still stunned with Johnston being taken off at Coventry!
@GrahamCroom Personally I’d play Price deeper and either Maja, Dike or Bany ahead of him

Centre forward that’s scored 6 in 5 from wide deliveries and we drop the wide player No ball carrier in a formation that demands it. It’s mind blowing

How's he not seen all the games himself (highlights) and not noticed in training?
As pointed out by @TheLiquidatorP1 yesterday for those who missed it, the whole point of the continuity of back room staff is because they should have knowledge. How has Mason not been warned that Wildsmith dropped clangers last season and is not fit for purpose?!? Baffling #wba

Yep...basically our quality of player is poor, and the manager further weakens our potential with his style of play and decisions. Preston are 5th, and we're 16th. We are effectively now wanting to be Preston.
@WBAReport We're going to be one of those teams....win one ,lose one ,draw a couple....add a couple of players...sell a couple .... attendances will drop...apathy...boredom We'll bounce around mid table for a bit , flirt with the playoffs and relegation ! We'll basically be Preston NE .

@WBA @fitlifefoods QPR fan here in peace…. score aside, just wanted to say huge thank you to the West Brom player who showed concern and called for help with a QPR taken ill. Even though yheh were on the attack, picked the ball up without any hesitation. Credit to your club. Thank you guys! 🙏

10 out of the 11 spot on but how in gods name has he dropped Griffiths? Makes 1 mistake and is hooked yet he’s happy to play an even worse GK? Shocking. #wba

Keeper aside, I was as 'happy' with the lineup as I've been in recent weeks. Missed chances and played poorly, that's another story.
If you’re going to drop your keeper when nobody is calling for it, you’d best hope his replacement doesn’t drop a howler. Mason always gives people a stick to beat him with by making decisions which only he seems to understand. #wba

Got away with one. Ball went through hands and judged a bump
@CJHall83 Sorry, if Griffiths isn’t carrying an injury, this decision will go tits up as soon as calamity Wildsmith makes a mistake - and he will. Any good will he has will drop like a stone.

Brilliant comeback v Swansea, as you say, football is all about excitement. Hammers Baggies being 3 down, in 2003, probably the best I will ever see. Look forward to the gofundme for Griffiths' Specsaver appointments!

Mikey’s numbers this season are staggering and his rate of assists is even better than Tom last season (at the moment). He’s transformed himself from someone who just cuts in and shoots to a true creative force. He should be the first name on the team sheet, not a 50/50! #wba
🪄 Mikey is currently averaging an assist every 1.9 x 90mins he’s on the pitch! 🤯 Fellows averaged an assist every 2.3 90s last term! 😍 That means, at this rate, if Mikey plays the same number of mins as Tom did he’d surpass TF’s 14 & provide 1️⃣7️⃣ assists this season!! #wba

Truly baffling. Haven't been calling for him to go, but we are sliding downwards and couldn't be more back-foot. Timing is everything. If Farke leaves Leeds, I'd go all out for him.
These quotes are staggering, I don’t know what he watches sometimes. First, the idea that starting Mikey was a 50/50 is ludicrous - he’s got to start. Second, you hit on something that works, he gets two assists and you take him off - what?? #wba

The in game management is really poor IMO. Where's front-foot football? The defence isn't strong enough to think it can hold out. I'm not full on calling for him out, but the Blues game is massive. Timing is everything in football. If Farke leaves Leeds, I'd go all out for him.
How to make sense of that #wba defeat? @GoldbergRadio took calls on the whistle on The Liquidator LIVE https://t.co/3XXWnRnOcv

@patmurphybbc @5liveSport A fixture of Midlands football and a reporter who was always on the side of the fan. You never forgot who your audience was and that's a undervalued skill in itself. Thanks for the memories!

23 years ago today, my family and I sat through the Inquest into my Dads death. We listened to a pathologist describe how badly damaged his brain was and how it had been destroyed because of his job. His brain looked like the brain of a boxer. He wasn’t a boxer , he was a

Lovely segment on Remembrance Day and former players, quality podcasting both. Also worth noting how well the silence was observed away at Charlton last week.

I'd say, though good, all saves you'd really expect a keeper to make. Oxford likely targeted him, but he did well. He's our best keeper, and he should continue to improve. We have to expect there will be mistakes.
The first one is a really good save, the bounce just in front of him is horrible for a keeper. I maintain, I think he’s having a good season. Yes, he’s made a couple of mistakes but what keeper doesn’t. He’s done a lot more good than bad for me. #wba
