FC Dallas thought: every year @DanHuntFCD tells the media he thinks the roster can compete for a Championship. The roster, through 4 managers, has been devoid of attacking ideas mostly since 2018. Dan has promoted Andre Zanotta, indicating he thinks Zanotta is on the mark. 1/

What Nico wonāt just come out and say is that they were never going to offer him the supermax. They know he wouldāve signed the supermax, but they didnāt want that. So the fear of Luka not signing stems from the idea of them lowballing him, and in turn, him deciding not to sign.
My #1 piece of advice for Nico would be to stop fing lying about Luka not re-signing

time, if we actually dictated the time zone, and then in terms of how we responded. But in typical drafts, I did address the media and I was really hoping that with the championship caliber team that we're gonna put on the floor, that a lot of the vitriol would have subsided.

Was there no follow-up to this question? Any reporter worth their salt would have said "Luka and his camp have publicly said that they planned to resign, what gave you the indication that he would have to think about that decision?"
And then you also have a player who, this summer, would have had a decision to make... a big decision whether he signs the supermax or he waits. And for anybody to trade for a player that only has one year left, you're not gonna get maximum value.
