This was probably true prior to the Russian Revolution, but after, Lenin reigns supreme. Kautsky on the other hand is mostly forgotten, especially by the old Social Democratic parties. I say this as more of a Kautsky than Lenin guy myself.
I think it's completely undeniable that Karl Kautsky is the 3rd most important/influential Marxist/communist/scientific socialist of all time right after Marx and Engels themselves. Now don't take this post as me saying that I love Kautsky, I'm just stating a fact.
