I volunteered for my son’s kindergarten class…so many kids didn’t know letters/alphabets/numbers etc. It was astonishing.
This is completely confusing to me. My mother taught me to read before I even entered kindergarten. Before the first day of school I’d read probably 100 of those Little Golden Books. Are parents just lazy and expect the teachers to do all the work?
