A right to review is only worth it if you can change the outcome. The CPS must ensure they change their process to adhere to this. The pilot must be rolled out nationally and made permanent.
Resharing this - the CPS admitted my case should’ve gone to trial, but by then it was too late to reopen it. That’s why I’m pushing for change. The Victims’ Right to Review must protect survivors before justice slips away.

My ex head of department, Snr leadership of the company I then worked for, attended my trial as a character witness for him and said I was “flirty”. I was 25 years younger and in my first job.
Society tells survivors to speak out. But when their abuser turns out to be a friend, a relative, a coworker, the survivor is suddenly labelled a liar. We must move away from this culture of denial and recognise that abusers are all around us.
