Starmer spoke a lot about hope in his victory speech. Luckily for him, we've already set out a vision for just how hope can start here. Spoiler: to realise it, we must end the two-child limit & benefit cap, & invest in social security as a force for good.

We have written to @ShonaRobison urging her to think about low-income families in tomorrow's budget. We want positive support like the Scottish Child Payment and Free School Meals to be increased, ensuring no families are left out 🤝@CPAGScotland 📨 https://t.co/2LyFfD0nJG

I listened to that segment which was really interesting. The work of @changing_r @UniOfYork @ruthpatrick0 @UoY_SBS has been significant to document everyday life of families on low-income, with the aim of improving the lives of those struggling to get by.

📻 Jo spoke to @itsanitarani @BBCWomansHour about the budget. For Jo & her son, everyday life is a struggle, 'when something goes wrong...it's credit cards, lending money' & there was little in the Chancellor's statement to give Jo hope. [from 30 mins ] https://t.co/0YpgeYggwp
