The kind of ancestor I want to be is one who supports racial, economic, & social movements to build, contest, & win power, so that all of us have full access to healthy food, renewable energy, clean air & water, good jobs, healthy living environments. . .

I just voted NO on HR 9495 — legislation that would give Donald Trump unfettered power to punish civil society groups, news outlets, hospitals, and universities with zero due process. It’s an authoritarian and undemocratic play by Republicans to go after political enemies.

#HR9495, which would let a Trump-appointed treasury secretary strip a #nonprofit of its status if unilaterally deemed a “terrorism-supporting” organization, passed the US House today. NPQ’s @isaiah_thompson has the story:
