It might not be glamorous, but our Toilet Framework is one of our finest. Toilets can be spaces of vulnerability. As leaders, we ensure students access them safely, with dignity, and through calm, clear systems. Culture lives in the details and we codify these for consistency.
2.5 years a go, as part of turnaround journey for our secondaries (when they were RI and inadequate), led by @chalkandtalk1 and @Rebekah_Ramsden, we used our hive mind to codify 'toilet best practice' into a Toilets Framework. Not glamorous school improvement work, but essential!.

Staff & scholars have worked so hard this week-a testament to their dedication and determination. Context is key when making judgements, especially for those peering in from the outside. Let the haters hate but I can’t fault the smiles, camaraderie & collective sense of belonging.
👀 👀 👀 Look how many pizzas we had to buy to feed all the Y11s who were still here at 6pm. Tonight’s Last Man Standing session is maths, ahead of tomorrow’s exam. We keep teaching until the last pupil goes home.
