Genomic data filtering consequences can be truly scary 👻👿🎃 (just in time for Halloween) 👇🏻.
One of the biggest (scary) eye-openers to me from this project was seeing just how much our trees differed with relatively small changes in filtering parameters, like in the comparison shown here between two trees inferred from datasets that only differed in minor allele filters

This was such a fun working group to be part of! 🙏 Great to have this out.
Conceptual and empirical bridges between micro- and macroevolution. Jonathan Rolland convened a working group in the before-times, when it was normal to sit in a room full of people w/o masks or rapid-tests and talk about things. Now out at @natureecoevo

A step forward in outlining concrete recommendations for gender equity in research funding. We can do so much better.
Our action plan is featured in this @Nature article by @Scatter_Cushion ! "What we want now is for [funding agencies] to acknowledge the data and take accountability", says our founder @prettysmartsci .Read the full article below:.#action4STEMMoms.
