Happy to see this work with @TekalignGutu and @johnmcpeaksyr out in JDE today. We explore whether index-based livestock insurance (IBLI) can mitigate violent conflict potentially caused by adverse weather events. https://t.co/xhcIEpIGJS

New in @PNASNews : Doruska et al. link an agricultural household model with a dynamic model of schistosomiasis disease ecology all calibrated with field data from northern Senegal. Helps explain poverty-disease traps and a promising method to escape.

Very pleased to see this piece online. We summarize key points from Yang et al ( https://t.co/qJNH63vXCh) + related papers. Interplay b/n ag, climate & env't is fundamental to sustainably improving living standards, especially - but not only - in low-income agrarian societies.

Very excited that the @IBLI_Africa story is now out as a short form, open access (I.e., FREE) book through @UNUWIDER and @CambridgeUP. We review the motivation for, design (and re-designs) of, evidence on, and scaling of IBLI since the original 2010 pilot in Northern Kenya.
