Kinders are starting 3D shapes and need to know attributes like the number of faces/edges/vertices. These concepts are easy to explain when the shape has all straight edges, but curves really complicate matters! love the math talk, but don’t want to confuse my Ks! #iteachmath

I’m a pre-service teacher who has auditory processing disorder. When observing instruction in advanced PA “in the dark”, I thought “how did I ever learn to read if I mess up these Kindergarten level oral tasks?” Turns our the jury is still out on the necessity of advanced PA.

Yes! @EvvieJagoda has been my winner pick since the preseason! Pet peeve= men was iconic. Also I love that they are a newer fan (like myself) who dove headfirst into the fandom. I love when players study the game and use it to their advantage.

I do equity & bias reviews for kids books & mostly I get hired to read for race & gender issues. But there is one area of representation that I flag in almost every book I review. We need more fat people in kids books. CW: fatphobia & body shaming

So literally 10 seconds after tweeting about how a simple respectful back and forth on the internet left my stomach in knots a FROZEN BEEF company’s thread comforted me? How algorithm? How did you know this was exactly what I needed?
by now it’s no secret that twitter incentivizes toxic beef with its character limit and clout chasing culture. quick clever gotchas are rewarded over long detailed threads. this leads some people to excessively caveat points to avoid misunderstanding and others to care even less

How I know I was not built internet is that even after a respectful back-and- forth in a comments section my stomach is in knots. How do people do social media for a living? I know I could have this conversation in person with no issues but typing it is anxiety inducing.

Someone really just told me “teach secondary if you want to teach content, teach elementary if you want to teach kids to be people”…literally no. Content knowledge and social emotional learning at all levels are equally essential at all levels.

That Florida high school photoshopping girls’ yearbook photos to cover shoulders,cleavage etc. reminds me of when Boylan went viral for the body shaming prom guidelines. Makes me sick that I really used to think I was responsible for men objectifying me if I wasn’t modest enough.

Every time we get a headline that boils down to “the Catholic Church still doesn’t affirm LGBTQ people” it just makes me sad. I was a rule follower my whole life and the rule was the church is always right. Wasted a lot of time hating myself, my sexuality, and judging people.
