PSA: note that the “ALT” text feature of Twitter is meant for you to describe the contents of an image, not to put random junk. Screen readers read the content of the alt text to users who, for example, are blind/low vision or dyslexic. Using it for something else is mean.

I keep seeing sooooo many people confused by this one... a Rust panic is not a kernel panic, it's a kernel oops! Basically it's like a NULL pointer dereference in a C driver... your driver crashes, that subsystem might lock up, but your whole machine doesn't go down.
