I'm thinking about this excerpt from DWM where Moffat talks about the Doctor as the ultimate autocratic liberal, who despite his ideals, can't help but revert back to the sense of superiority he was raised with. It shows such a brilliant understanding of the character.
By contrast, it feels like Moffat has a much stronger idea of who the Doctor is at his core, outside of being defined by a specific trauma. It's more in-line with classic-era portrayals, in many ways, which is why I feel his writing for 15 clicks more with me.
