This is the popular opinion. Multiple points in history when this type of opinion turned out to be wrong in almost every way. This is very surface level thinking with no interest in doing actual research.
@CarlSparre @ranig @WholeMarsBlog a bus or subway is significantly cheaper than a taxi ride, and will cover all-day. millions of people currently do this, and most won't just change to automated cars for the sake of it. On the other hand, 92% of americans own a vehicle - you think they're just all going to throw.

Imagine all this FSD progress but Elon made no predictions or promises about timelines. FSD would be viewed as one of the most amazing features you can add to a car. Take away all the predictions and just look at the execution. There is literally no one close. @farzyness.

@PeterDiamandis @elon Unfortunately, it’s far from looking like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie. I’m a big supporter of the project, but it feels like it was rushed. To give it a sci-fi vibe, it lacked beautiful waitresses and waiters, impeccably dressed, wearing an external Neuralink just.
