One of the best VR features is sitting right there for the taking. Co-present 2D gaming. Relive the days of playing games in the basement.
Question for people using game pass on quest question: can I play with my friends in VR?. Meaning, can a bunch of us get together in VR and hang out while playing on private Xbox screens?.

Please be real. These are less than a second apart.
AI video creation just changed forever. One image, one prompt, and you're directing a full cinematic sequence. I used 2 tools to create this short film with consistent characters, style, and emotion. Here’s exactly how I did it, step by step.Bookmarked this for later 🔖

Wild apples taste like shit. Any apple you’ve ever eaten was likely bred and “cloned” to be tasty. Plant some apple seeds and see what you get. Probably something wild and awful tasting.
Foraged a wild apple from the woods, bit into it and discovered its flesh was blood red. Now await my prince in a glass coffin

This is fundamentally a level of effort issue. In modern engines rotating the sprite like this is one line of code. Properly rotating on a pixel grid require each angle drawn individually by an artist or using a bunch of complicated techniques and discipline to not mess it up.
Look, I try not to say anything about game design because that's not my thing, but if there's one animation style that grinds my gears is the one that rotates pixelated sprites and rotates the pixels as well. 😠

One more thing on this 🧵. Tech assumes AI will do everything they promised. What happens if it’s like many other technologies and does not live up to the hype?. The amount of the economy that is betting on the most optimistic outcome is terrifying. Humanities next dark age level.
Enter AI. There are many misunderstandings here. But we should not misconstrue the Microsoft layoffs with them replacing studios with AI. What happened with Microsoft was clear: AI is a one-in-a-generation change in the entire digital order. MS must either get on board, or.
