we have successfully rescued 130+ ETH that was mistakenly sent to our Ethereum Mainnet bridge address on Base, Optimism, and Arbitrum. we recovered the ETH and returned it to the accounts that sent it originally. I'm sharing links below to the block explorer for each chain, so
a number of users have mistakenly sent ETH to the same address of our Ethereum Mainnet bridge on the wrong chains like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. we're writing contracts to rescue their ETH and will be deploying them within the next 2 weeks. I’ll make another post when we're

Over the past few months, I've been building the kona-node along with my teammates on the Rust Team at @OPLabsPBC. Today, we are excited to officially release the first major version of the kona-node: an L2 consensus node also called a rollup node. https://t.co/flQrNiVGY0

Today marks a thrilling milestone for the OP Stack ecosystem: the first public release of kona-node, our modular, high-performance rollup node built entirely in Rust.

@smyyguy @web3_data @0xBreadguy Rising/reflexive base fees are always better than priority fee auctions for ordinary users, as users must pay 100% of their priority fees but only the current base fee. If a user is willing to pay 1c, it's better to pay significantly less most of the time.

its just efficiency kind of like how chocolate milk is better than whole milk because it's harder to tell if it's gone bad, so it lasts longer https://t.co/yP7T5sQxT7

As Base grows, we’re seeing breakout apps that are bringing 10x more traffic to the network. We've sustained sub 5 cent fees during record traffic; Such as 1.5k transactions per second during @virtuals_io token launches We'll keep scaling as apps keep growing on @base 🫡 Read

Today, we introduce a new thesis: MEV has become the dominant limit to scaling blockchains. Spectacularly wasteful onchain searching is starting to consume most of the capacity of most high-throughput blockchains. This is a market failure we can no longer ignore.

Where are the shorter slot times @dankrad? 6 seconds to start with and how we plan for 1s?

A simple test that miners are using alternative relay rules: broadcast a non-RBF tx below market rate, wait some period of time, then broadcast a conflicting tx with sufficient fees. Notice that the newer tx will be included in a block despite the first being "unreplacable".

This is all reminiscent of the RBF flag - required for increasing the fee of a pending transaction per Bitcoin Core's stated mempool rules, but entirely unnecessary in practice.
TL;DR: If Bitcoin Core has a filter against fee-paying valid transactions that other miners pick up, there is a risk that: 1. ”Bitcoin Core”-policy miners will be unprofitable relative to other miners, leading to miner centralization 2. Miners stop using Bitcoin Core

Sharing @base team's view on the Fusaka hardfork. https://t.co/77pZDSi8mk 1. Lock current Fusaka scope to only include PeerDAS and EOF 2. Ship Fusaka as soon as PeerDAS is ready (ideally early Q3 2025), with as high blob number as testing allows 3. Ship Fusaka with built-in

To support a global onchain economy and ensure Ethereum's success, Base believes it's crucial to ship the Fusaka hard fork Q3 of 2025, here's the plan..
