AI leadership depends on energy transformation, which is a serious constraint in the US but not as much in China.
My take on AI compute & energy demand:.1. AI will absorb as much compute and electricity as we make available. 2. Constraints will make AI more efficient. Headroom is enormous. 3. When pushed, we'll get similar performance with orders of magnitude lower resource utilization.
