Structured Literacy doesn’t mean no picture books. Knock it off. Pic 1: all the text in one student’s book box, PALS for sm group, independent decodable folder, current core skill fluency, picture books from classroom library. Pic 2: content lit bookshelf + classroom library

What a great idea for those of you who have or work with medically complex kids!
When I asked my patient, “What meds do you take?” she showed me this. She had a ‘current meds’ bundle and a ‘no longer taking’ bundle. She wrote notes like “blood sugar” or “blood pressure" on each card. I asked to share her brilliant idea and she said, ‘absolutely!' #MedTwitter
