south lake union and downtown essentially are dead on evenings and during weekends your walkable (from the venue) hangout neighborhoods are belltown, capitol hill, pike place, pioneer square, and the international district

protip for booking lodging, pick a place very close to 1st avenue (pike place market & pioneer square) or very close to capitol hill don't book in the no man's land of the business district; that "no man's land" is basically between pike & cherry between 2nd & 6th ave

it didn't sink in until well after the event was over but once it did i felt so fulfilled. even if i played like garbage in one of the games, it was a vgc bucket list moment for me for sure

the best moment of the last three years of vgc for me was playing on stream at milwaukee. after the first official regional was cast in 2015 i always daydreamed about playing on stream at my hometown regional and it finally happened
