I have a core memory of sitting in a car with my parents in the rain. The sunroof showed the speckles of the raindrops as they hit the window on my parents arms and they jokingly said "ahh oh no whats on my arm?!" I must have been 4.
one of my core memories is a time when i was 3-5ish and having waffles and was distressed that the butter kept vanishing and my dad knelt in front of me and explained that it melted and went inside the waffle. i do not think he intended that to be a core memory. but it sure is.

My two year old nephew just absolutely roasted my ass. Got on a FaceTime with him and he showed me his trains and then he asked “where are yours?” and I had to admit that I own zero trains. Fucking humiliating.
