I did it! I stopped checking Twitter! ★★★★★, would leave a site run by a hateful billionaire again 👍🏻 I'm now mostly at @bitoclass.uk on Bluesky, but also @[first name][last name minus penultimate lettr] on Threads (and Instagram) and @bitoclass@mastodonapp.uk on Mastodon

Came full circle in the end: I'm not impressed with X either. See you on Bluesky at @bitoclass.uk
I'm not impressed with Twitter really. I expect I'll get used to it but seriously, I can't even get a userpic to upload at the moment. Poor.

This makes sense - have seen a lot more activity in the other place recently. I'm not here any more but I have been over there for months and would love you to be there too 🙏🏻

The other site is ballooning with new X-leavers – but also with loads of posts correctly saying that no-one on the left/centre, nor any public service org's official comms, should still be here on this fash-run site, which feels like something better posted here, so here it is

Popping in to remind you that there's a better experience to be had on Bluesky, if the X algorithm decides to let you see this amid all the riot-stoking conspiracies and Kamala deepfakes this site's owner is keen to push at you for as long as you stick around 😬

Anyone want my spare ticket to see @SELFESTEEM___ star, tonight only, in an intriguing, innovative play in Sloane Square?

@stephenkb Lots of ‘for those of you who don’t usually follow politics’ nonsense. Those people probably aren’t waiting for Nuneaton at 3.40am. It was so disappointing.

@youngvulgarian They did an extremely good job of covering Reform gaining 5 MPs in great detail, nothing else happened that night, did it?

Nothing I've heard about the BBC's election night show makes me regret my decision to literally put it on only in a second room at my all-night party and stick with Channel 4 and Sky News in the room I spent the night in
Felt like we’ve reached a level of parody that the BBC’s political coverage on TV cannot stop being obsessed with the next election even *during* the election.

There’s always something very satisfying when self-appointed tribunes of the people what just speak common sense, innit, put themselves up for election and the people then say loudly ‘Er, no thanks mate.’
Missed on the night but I'm delighted to report that Rod Liddle lost his deposit standing in Middlebrough South and Cleveland East.
