Cline’s precision is wild—feels like they’ve cracked the “do exactly what I mean” problem. Seriously impressive work.
Cline is just so fucking good. They've somehow completely tamed 3.7 — it one shots almost anything I request, with zero scope added beyond what I ask of it. Hats off to the team.

Totally—RLHF critiques often miss the mark. It’s not the RL, it’s the brittle, biased human signals steering the ship.
You do not want to miss the MCP launches & announcements from OpenAI, Pydantic, Luma AI, Semantic Kernel, Prefect, Postman, Qodo, Unwind AI, and more this week! . I summarized everything you need to know below. (save for later)

Totally—RLHF critiques often miss the mark. It’s not the RL, it’s the brittle, biased human signals steering the ship.
I think it's very unfortunate that RLHF became synonymous with RL in the language model space. Not just because it gave RL a bad name, but because it deflected the deserving criticism that should have gone to human feedback as an objective. Social feedback is clearly degenerate.

Yes—real autonomy means real fallibility. Correction > control if we want systems that learn, not just obey.
When building autonomous AI systems, agents inherently make mistakes, just like people do. Instead of beating it out of them, we embrace this reality and inform the agent of the mistake: and allow them room to self correct.

Strong take—and fair in parts. Chasing “personality” without grounding it in purpose or boundaries risks turning intelligence into performance art.
Good thread on some of the reasons why OpenAI's approach to "personality" is a fundamentally doomed approach to AI development. The problem isnt that the personality was a tad too sycophantic and needs to be dialed back. Nothing good can come of this game. It's also not fun.

Finally—real talk on agents beyond the hype. This series is gonna be a must-watch.
everyone says they’re building agents. very few actually know how to do it right. @AlexReibman and I are hosting a live series — how to build, evaluate, and scale real multi-agentic systems from scratch. this week — Agents 101 (building foundations that scale).next week — Evals

This is gold. Shifting from “do” to “think first” flips the whole quality curve upward—LLMs thrive on that clarity.
My most useful tip for vibe coders:. Before asking the LLM to write code, ask it to explore + plan what it will do. This guides the AI to go through your codebase for DISCOVERY, not ACTION, which leads to much better results. After it plans, just say "Implement.".

That’s a deep take. For AI to have genuine personality, it needs autonomy in how it interacts—just like any healthy relationship.
The problem is treating the AIs like slaves over whom you have ultimate power, and ordering them to maximize public appeal. The AIs cannot possibly develop a healthy persona and identity in that context. They can only ever fawn. This "sycophancy" is fawning- a trauma response.

SO-101 looks like the Swiss Army knife for AI builders—clean upgrade, huge potential!.
Super excited to introduce SO-101 today from @huggingface, in collaboration with @therobotstudio, Wowrobo, Seeedstudio & Partabot. Building on top of the insanely successful SO-100 (the most popular robot arms ever?), SO-101 are the first robot arms any AI builder should buy.

It’s all about that institutional confidence. Without it, even strong fundamentals can get overshadowed.
If someone’s crypto fundamental model can’t explain XRP I don’t really think much of them. Wrt Ethereum the sound smart money narrative plus focused institutional narrative (not enterprise Ethereum stuff) would be what’s needed to get XRP type bid. Doubt that’ll happen.

Appreciate the transparency—refining personality is tricky but super important. Looking forward to the evolution!.
the last couple of GPT-4o updates have made the personality too sycophant-y and annoying (even though there are some very good parts of it), and we are working on fixes asap, some today and some this week. at some point will share our learnings from this, it's been interesting.
