the debut Gazetteer piece from @meganrosedickey is here! the data shows that SFPD has rapidly increased drone use this summer — not just in criminal incidents, but for general surveillance of crowds. here's why you should care: https://t.co/bnBapBNpiT

Bill Johnson wants Christians to "transform" society. Was a California city a test case? Redding residents say Bethel Church, where prayers can regrow body parts and bring the dead back to life, is taking over their city.

It’s hard for me to express how deeply devastated I am by this news. After 28 years of uplifting the voices and stories of unhoused people in the East Bay, Street Spit will halt publication starting July 1. My hope is that this is temporary. Info below ⬇️

From Burris, lawyer for family of Banko Brown: "It's stunning. It's stunning b/c it looks to me like a manslaughter case. The force was unreasonable as a consequence of a fight. The security guard was the one who started it. It was more force than what was reasonably necessary"

From me and @_ericting: We asked the Board of Supervisors where they stand on SF private security guards having guns. Two supervisors responded that they oppose guns for private security; 3 back increased local regulations; couple other interesting replies https://t.co/YdH8fDD3i2

for years, #880minion has watched over five lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic from his rooftop dwelling in the bay area. he's been photographed by hundreds. but what most people don't know is how he got there. I got to the bottom of the mystery: https://t.co/QmuunV4Oi6

Latest Alameda County election results are out. Big upset in the sheriff's race holds. Yesenia Sanchez has 52.7% of the vote. Seems certain now she'll avoid a Nov. runoff against incumbent Greg Ahern.
