Illinois needs to still prove to me they are definitely playoff worthy. Good team. Very well coached. Duke barfed up the game.

David Hale from ESPN had this funny comment and damning stat on Kirk Ferentz and Iowa vs Iowa State. “Iowa threw for 83 yards in the game, a tally Kirk Ferentz frustratingly noted was almost the full length of the field and should've been plenty enough to win. Still, as

Those were two important wins by Northwestern and Maryland Friday night for the Big Ten. Perceptions of conferences is not just about the top teams in which the Big Ten obviously is super strong with Ohio State, Penn State and Oregon in the Top 10. If you have 2 or 3 teams in

Great game as Miami pulls it out over Notre Dame. Miami has a multi year starting quarterback, they were at home, and playing a team that has a starter for the first time on the road. They should win the game. ND should not drop much.

I certainly agree with this. Schedule some decent nonconference competition because if the committee punishes you for not doing it, I don’t feel sorry for you at all.
All hate aside, shout out to Clemson, LSU, ND, Miami, FSU, Bama, Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas and Ohio State for buckling up their chin straps and playing ball these first 2 weeks CFB needs these big time matchups

Good power ranking list by JR. Minor thing but I would put Minnesota over Nebraska. It’s just Week 1 so no need to over react BUT if you have concerns on something and see the exact same thing in week 2, then you know the concern is real.

Actually appreciate this from Finebaum. I know he annoys us Big Ten fans, but remember as Lee Corso said. “We’re in the entertainment business baby” as part of covering this sport and his controversial takes are sometimes in the entertainment realm. Getting people fired up is

Brian Kelly has been a whipping boy for a lot of people I think mostly because he’s unlikable. That has nothing to do with being a good coach. Yes he won’t be elite until he can win a national title but all along he’s been a very good coach. When he took over Notre Dame, he

Ohio State 14 Texas 7. Season scorecard: Big Ten 1 to SEC ZERO. Fifth straight Top 5 win for “soft” Ryan Day and Ohio State. The Heisman favorite looked very underwhelming, but it is just one game to be fair. Way too early to judge. Sarkisian is going to get a lot of flack
