.@NickCohen4 bravely faced down libel lawyers to write this in support of me & my publisher when we were facing the crushing weight of 4 oligarch lawsuits & the Kremlin. I'd never met him but he's a shining light combating abusive lawsuits by the superrich

You’ll not understand the power & beauty of your youth until they’ve faded. But trust me,in 20 years you'll look back at photos of yourself & recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you & how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine

I've waited 2 years to tell Junior's story. It was such a pleasure to finally meet him and talk. He wants others to learn from his experience, so no one else will suffer the "evil" he suffered.
He was lured to New Zealand with promises of money and a better life, but instead he was kept as a slave, repeatedly assaulted and cut off from his family. For the first time, he tells his story. First interview: Man kept as slave in NZ speaks out

stuff.co.nz

stuff.co.nz
Thames-Coromandel mayor Sandra Goudie won't take the Pfizer vaccine, and won't commit to taking her preferred option either. Some call her a danger to the public.

Really sad to see our local butchers having to shut their doors while supermarket are struggling to keep up with the demand. Surely our government needs understand that by allowing butchers to operate under level 4 it helps take some load off the supermarkets that are open.

A major source of mine died last month. There was no death notice, nor funeral: Her life and her passing was a mystery. I tried writing an obit of sorts, and it pretty much turned into tragic Memento.
