🔥 Physiology has evolved. From a diagnostic method to a prognostic tool. 💡 What if we could predict outcomes before we stent? The Pullback Pressure Gradient (PPG)—a metric describing how disease is distributed along the coronary artery—may hold that key. Our latest study,

Just published in @CircAHA #OnMyMind What is "rest"? Is a patient lying on a cathlab table truly “at rest”? Using continuous thermodilution, we show that resting coronary flow can vary significantly @BernardBruyne @awilgenh

@divaka_perera @CircIntv @DrOzanDemir @TheBHF @PCRonline @MortonKern @ColletCarlos @monaltiren @ziadalinyc @wfearonmd @SimoneBiscaglia @GianlucaCampo78 Right findings, wrong interpretation: When measured with micromanometer-tipped wires, distal coronary pressure is ALWAYS lower (4-5 mmHg) in the LAD than in the LCx. Thus, FFR and NHPR (RFR, iFR, etc.) are consistently a bit lower.

Is PCI always the answer? Dr Rasha Al-Lamee leads us through patient-focused insights on when physiology supports—and when it questions—revascularisation. At the heart is understanding the impact on the patient and their wellbeing. @CoreAalst

🚀 IPD meta-analysis just published in the #EHJ 🚀 We show that TiNO stents used in ACS have similar rates of MACE and TLR as DES but lower rates of CD, MI, and stent thrombosis. It's a game-changer! #Cardiology #TiNOStents #AcuteCoronarySyndromes @BernardBruyne @ColletCarlos
Could Titanium-nitride-oxide-coated stent be a game-changer in #ACS management? A patient-level meta-analysis compares Titanium-Nitride-Oxide-coated stents vs. Drug-Eluting Stents in ACS patients. Read more in #EHJ. https://t.co/CqKuGcN0CN

Preliminary multicentre study presented at #TCT2024 suggests FFR-CT may reduce unnecessary angiographies in high-risk ACS patients. Implementing this approach could streamline care, but further confirmation and close collaboration with radiology are essential. #Cardiology
