Here's the video thread of my neighbor who drives the old Toyota Starlet riding with me to check out the new 2023 Toyota Starlet, her reaction when she saw it for the first time says it all...take a look.

I'm frustrated.
My phone and National ID were stolen.
Went to a service center to try and get a replacement SIM but I'm told I must have national ID to get one.
I'm told NIRA will take up to two months to process a replacement.
I have a soft copy of my national ID.
I've been MC at hundreds of weddings over the last few decades but I've never had as much fun as I did co-hosting one with
@kimera516
a few days ago.
We had so much fun that at some point I believe the guests mistook us for doing a stand up set and gave us a round of applause!
Do you know that ka woman who assures you how you ".....don't have sufficient credit to complete this call.....?"
Well that voice is my wife
@arinaitwerach
so imagine my pain everytime I try to make a call and hear that voice!
Dear men, is it just me or is there something really refreshing and comforting in having a long serving barber who you don't have to explain to how to cut your hair each time you go to the barber shop 😊😊
So I finally got to drive an electric car courtesy of Motocare Uganda and OMG!! Will share video soon but here's a taste of my emotions! Thing is brutal!!!

I also have a valid passport that clearly shows and confirms my NIN.
BUT apparently my passport isn't a valid document for processing a replacement SIM.
YET any foreigner can be allowed to use their passport to get a SIM card.
What am I missing?
I have a proposal for the IGP. Outsource management of Kampala Traffic to me for two years. I can guarantee you we'll deliver a minimum of UGX30bn in annual revenue from fines and you will have sanity on the roads by year 3.
I'm learning to appreciate that tastes and preferences vary significantly. One will take their hard earned cash and decide they like the way this car looks and buy it!
I used to LOATHE Ipsums but ended up driving three of them!! What's the one car you'd never buy based on looks?
It's quite amusing to hear young radio presenters of these days saying "don't touch that dial". Most of them don't even know what the phrase means or what dial is being referred to!😂🤣😂
Please note that this event was the cause of the postponement of a concert we had been publicising since September!! And
@KagutaMuseveni
came to talk to people that weren't even paying attention to him!!? I'm still hurting and praying for Grace to forgive what they did to us...
Renting support is a tough job, even if you’re the President. These guys were there to receive their share of the loot; that promised UGX 1.2 BN. They weren’t there to hear speeches from a guy who is so far removed from their reality. For the bulk of them, he’s at least 4X older
If you own a recreational facility, please take time to understand that you're probably losing a sizeable chunk of revenue on Sundays because a decent number of us refuse to come back to endure your "DJs" play rubbish back to back R-rated music for our kids!!
#CensorYourself
You know you've crawled out of the jaws of death when the entire hospital literally shuts down to discharge you with a full guard of honour. O magnify the Lord with us!! What shall we render to Jehovah!!
When a safe boda rider chases a client off his bike because the guy was urging him to drive/ride on the pavement, then you know it's possible to be a lawful nation. We just need the right incentives!
Always engage your boda boda rider in fake talk even when you can't hear a word they are saying!! It keeps them alert, awake and forces them to ride a little slower.
Happy birthday Watoto Church!
It was on Easter Sunday, 22 April 1984 that Watoto Church (then Kampala Pentecostal Church - KPC) was born. 75 people showed up for the first service at Grand Imperial Hotel and today, over 35,000 people worship with us in 17 locations in Uganda,…
Well done bruv! Easily the funniest person I ever worked with. I've never seen anyone pull punchlines and one-liners the way
@PatriqKanyomozi
could. I still hope you get to pursue Stand up.
I made my final appearance on
@933kfm
this morning as I retire from radio and active journalism.
I leave a very contented man because from a very young age, all I ever wanted to do was to be a Radio Presenter,i was lucky to get my first radio job in my S6 vacation and never…
Thinking of people you should always handle with extra great care. Whoever cooks your food, the person that looks after your children when you're not at home, anybody with a gun, the chap who handles payroll, have I missed anybody?
People grossly underestimate how much joy or pain will be derived from the car you drive!
I usually try to find any excuse to take a longer route just so I can spend more time on the road in my ka "Wheelbarrow" as I call it.
What's the most pain or joy a car has caused you?
SETBACKS. A short Thread.
Allow me to suggest that it is possible you've been deceived if you see kids as setbacks!
Until Jeremiah was born, I didn't want to have any "setbacks". Everyone knew this! And then he came and changed my life, Micah came & added even more purpose.
If you're a food person, Find/Make/Save 35K. Go to Mestil Hotel. Order the club sandwich. If it's not worth it, I'll refund your money. You're Welcome.
People who drive in the fast lane on the bypass and expressway at snails pace.....should we assume you simply paid for your permits and never actually went to driving school or did any tests......?🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
Law and order in Africa is possible!! My boda ride this evening in Lome. No police in sight and yet none of the riders jumps the light. Also wearing helmets isn't optional. One day Uganda will rise to this level!

At a funeral and I'm just bewildered at how the place is a proper market place!! When did we get to this? Or is it limited to particular places? If you tried doing this my village, the Kiboko you'd get would be heard across the district!
Last weekend was intense. Two weddings, being Co-MC at one of them and also had to represent my boss at the launch of an exciting event with
@ConceptRealEsta
All within a day's labour. We shall sleep when we get to heaven!!
@marvin_sydney
The lack of common sense should be declared a national crisis!!! My NIN is clearly shown on the passport! Why wouldn't that be good enough!
Have you ever had someone wave you down to alert you to a problem with your car? I always go out of my way to do so because I would appreciate it too. Bumped into a friend who had this experience. Has someone ever done this for you? Do you do it for other people?
@carfulu
Allow me to introduce you to my little Lance! Hoping to do a total makeover and tell some of my car stories along the way. Part 2 Coming soon....
#Carfulu
I was today years old when I realised that percentages are reversible!!
In other words, 24% of 60 is the same as 60% of 24.
Seems very logical once you realise it!
Young people think it is a foreign number plate🤣🤣
Had the privilege of driving a rather very special E-class aka ''new eyes''. Video Coming soon.
@carfulu
Growing up in Mbarara, we had a Jambula tree in the compound and so you can imagine my delight when I stumbled across some at a breakfast spread this morning, 35 years later!! What is Jambula in English?
So you keep complaining about corruption but you're the first to shamelessly cut into the line in front of others when food is being served. What do we do for you.....?🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
Don't know how they did it but these three share a birthday!!! Happy birthday to you Mummy Tibs, Sarah and Sam! Couldn't have asked for a better family!
If I were
@KagutaMuseveni
I would extend a personal invitation to Uganda,give him permission to joke about me and see how that plays out.
@LillyAjarova
we could even throw in a weekend around some of our beautiful spots. We go.....?
At his show in London🇬🇧
@Trevornoah
said he was invited to perform in Uganda🇺🇬 but the promotor warned him that he CANNOT:
1. Joke about Pres. Museveni
2. “Be gay” (even seem,in any way…)
Either would = jail!
Trevor said this was impossible & so the UG show can’t happen.
😅🤣
To say I'm humbled would be an understatement
@solomonking
. I'm framing your post for my kids! For the record, I was just trying to do what I love, cars! Looking forward to doing more car stuff. If I can make it pay for itself, that will just be a bonus!
I'm going to ask a very innocent question from my simple mind.
Wouldn't logic and common sense dictate that it is easier to take and publish a time stamped picture/video of a guy to prove he has no injuries as alleged?
#Naaaaansense
is too much.
I find it really funny how two banyankole insist on carrying on a conversation in Luganda when their Luganda accents are worse than Joseph Beyanga and Kahinda Otafire combined!!
Our cars have such a special place in our lives that some of us go as far as baptizing them! This is my guy, Lance. He's been a very dedicated and loyal servant. There's also been Immaculate, Fiona and many others before him. What names have you given your cars?
#Carfulu
Tried hypermiling yesterday. I think it was actually more fun than trying to be a rally driver.
Distance: 100Km
Avg Speed: 59km
Avg Consumption: 25.4Km/l
That means round trip to Mbarara would cost less than 120K of fuel, or EBB for 15K of fuel. Incredible
Dear restaurant managers, knives are just 5K.
Could kindly have a knife that's exclusively dedicated to cutting fruit and doesn't ever get used to cut onions?
I thank you in advance!
Did you know that there are more boda boda riders than civil servants in uganda!? So essentially the boda sector is a bigger employer than government!!
Witnessed two accidents this morning involving boda bodas. Both nearly fatal, Bodas at fault both times. If you're going to use a boda use a regulated one like Taxify or Safe Boda, you'll probably reduce chances of accident by 90%
Today, I honour you my father, the maker of heaven and earth, sovereign Lord, creator of the universe, the one true living God, my provider and saviour. There is none like you, who can compare with you!? Blessed are you my king!
Dear Hotel Chefs, a knife costs just 5K. You can buy one and label it FRUITS ONLY. That way we don't have to smell onions on our pineapples and Water Melons. Also if I'm paying 10K for a fruit salad surely you should give me only the ripe part of the pineapple!
Am I the only one who struggles with translated sermons especially when you understand both languages well?
My brain can never decide which language to focus on so it gets exhausting!!
If I'm being honest I never had any range anxiety. This is enough fuel to take me another 120Km! If you know your car well, you can track it to the last 100m!
So hubby has replaced cruising on the highway with this ridiculous challenge to get to Gulu on 100k worth of fuel. This is the gauge with 60km to go. I'll not be seen with a Jerry can though when we ran out😎
Over the course of your life, it is guaranteed that you will make some very stupid decisions. Some you can and will get away with. Others you should be caned for! Like changing money at an airport forex bureau.
Mental health is a big big deal, especially for us men. Don't die like an officer (Pun unintended). There's no shame in admitting to yourself and your loved ones that you're struggling. Talk to someone. It really helps! (Based on a True Story). It's okay not to be okay.
Don Moen and Ron Kenoly remain responsible for the biggest assault on my auditory senses. It's almost impossible to pick a favorite album but if I was forced to choose I'd say Kenoly's "Lift him up" and Moen's "Rivers of Joy".
The bass line on those two was crazy!
You're in the queue at the ATM, guy bullies his way into the booth like the rest of us have nowhere to be, and the machine tells him insufficient funds! I wanted to give the chap 10K naye the busungu he left with! Abazukulu ba gundi have suffered!
Do you know why I think there is still hope for Uganda....?
Look at the solidarity and selflessness Boda boda riders can have.
The way they never refuse to give their compadres change if they have it is rather heart warming and encouraging!
Ms. Susan Nsibirwa was among the first journalists to join
