He replied: "Its 3pm, but for you my friend it is 2:30pm."
Dad is 82 today. I owe a lot of who I am to what he taught me. He taught me to read, to write, to love the arts; to love, train and invest in leaders; to love young people; to live a purpose driven life.
Thank you dad. May God continue to give you strength.
Happy birthday. 💕
Mom is 77 years old today. While dad was our front face, mom was our backbone. She held us together.
Mom taught me to love people, to feed people, to pray, to work hard, to be neat, to be radically generous.
Mom is a mobilizer and an advocate. She sees the unseen and reaches
Today was special for me. Not only did I have the distinct honor of walking with my mom and dad; but we also recorded the first 2 episodes of a new podcast called Foot Prints.

We talked about our work, our lives and our leadership lessons. One was: it doesn’t matter how many times you stop, you just need to keep going. It is in the going that we grow. Take the pause. Breathe. Then go.
My dad has written his memoir.
He tells of his childhood adventures, and falling in love with my mom. He tells of his drunken stupors that nearly destroyed his life.
He tells of how God litaraly catapulted him - a most unlikely person, to be the prelate that he is today.
Today I dedicated my morning walk to my dear son. Jeff is 19 today. He was born on 10th February. I did 10k for him. He wants to be a pilot. He is studying hard. Say a prayer for him.
The hand of the woman who loved me with all her heart, who accepted me as I am, who spoiled me at every turn whenever I visited her, who held me in her arms, who called me her Darling. My dear mother-in-law. Gone today. R.I.P.
As we remembered the late Hon Joyce Mpanga, a beautiful idea came to mind during her funeral service. What if we held a high tea to celebrate her life and talk about what she meant to us and the women's movement? Hon Miria Matembe endorsed the idea and offered to host the event.
On Thursday this week, I called
@MaggieKigozi3
(or Dr. Maggie as she is fondly called) requesting that I walk with her and interview her for our upcoming Foot Prints podcast. She graciously agreed and gave me directions to her home which is about 2 hours outside of Kampala.
I wish you a fruitful week ahead. Don’t give up on yourself. You are totally worth it. Don’t give up on your dream. It was birthed in you for a reason. You are a winner, not a whiner, a victor not a victim. I wish you abundant blessings! 🙏🏾💕
I mourn my dear friend and elder, Hon Joyce Mpanga. She loved me and called me her daughter. I was honored to interview her when she launched her book, “It’s a Pity She’s Not a Boy”.

My prayer for you in this month of May: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Today I gathered as many of the people that I’ve walked with as I could. The purpose was that they would also get to meet each other and connect. We walked. We danced. We celebrated.
We launched a book of the stories of the walks.

For the last three years, I’ve kept a Gratitude Jar. Every day I write something that I’m grateful for. Every end of year, I empty the jar and start afresh.
May we adopt gratitude as a daily habit.

Today was sibling day. I love these moments of getting together. We laugh a lot, reminisce a lot and also talk about the future. It’s nice to make time to catch up in this crazy busy world.
For the last 4 years, I’ve kept a gratitude jar. Every day, I write something I’m grateful for.
On the last day of the year, I read through some of the notes. I then empty my jar, keep the notes in a pretty box, and start all over again on the 1st of every New Year.
Try it.
Several hours after my interview with him, I am still searching for the words to describe Mr. Bruno Joe B. Bwambale. His is a story of resilience, of overcoming, of radical generosity. His is truly a life poured out.
