Twitter was an important space for me over 15+ years, but I won't contribute to X while it allows disinformation to be spread unchecked, including the support given to racists and far right extremists by the owner of this platform.

Had a rare window of spare time, so I walked slowly from Westminster back to Euston in the sunshine this afternoon. The absolute best way to see London instead of the usual rush around on public transport

I was able to back this book on Unbound in 2022, so I’m proud to have my name listed in the small print of supporters at the back. We need more of this type of project, with first hand stories and participation that challenges thinking about systems of support in our society

That’s classic tech thinking and solutions for policy problems - when what’s really needed is user centred policy work. Calling it customer engagement just feels horrible in this context as well 2/2

Context for that last RT… This is a clear political/policy choice - “a carer who earned £1 more than the £151 threshold for 52 weeks would typically have to pay back £4,258.80, rather than £52”

End the Carers Allowance cliff-edge! Many reporting the scandal that those caring 35+hrs/wk oft for vulnerable loved ones must repay £1,000s just for slipping a quid or two over the max earnings threshold (currently £151/wk). Ending that clawback's important. Yet the cliff-edge

1892 Victorian postbox by Handyside of Derby, Harrogate railway station. I find it quite moving that this thing has sat on Platform 1 for 132 years, as the trains changed from steam to DMU to Azuma and a first class stamp changed from a penny to £1.35
