In an exciting collaboration with the #ImmuneHealth lab at Penn @benfens investigated the developing immune system of preterm infants. Even pre-term infants make surprisingly robust CD8 T cell responses to diverse infections.

Great example of using Twitter to share science. I would never have come across the great work of @benfens had I not followed @DMAronoff. Why wouldn’t all scientists want to amplify the impact of their work thru #SoMe? #MedEd

1 child under the age of 5 dies every 20 seconds from vaccine-preventable disease. Countless more survive but suffer through unnecessary & painful illnesses. There’s no question-vaccines are safe & save lives. @CDCgov National Infant Immunization Week #ivax2protect @AAPneonatal

Emergency departments are substantial consumers of IV fluids, so in the face of the worsened U.S. saline shortage, a hospital ED team developed an oral rehydration protocol for patients with mild dehydration that has since been adopted hospital-wide.
