"Our job is to become good professionals and return to Palestine to support our people," one 🇵🇸 student said.
🇨🇺 Cuba currently presides over the the G77+China, the largest negotiating bloc at the UN.
This weekend, high-level delegations from nearly all 134 member states met in Havana to discuss science, technology and innovation before next week's UN General Assembly in New York City.
Cuba Responds to Matanzas Fire that has left dozens injured, 17 missing and at least one dead. Venezuela and Mexico sent specialized crews to help. The U.S. offered "technical advice" but has not responded to calls to lift devastating sanctions.

Cubans will vote to redefine what it means to be a family. At a time when fundamental rights for women and LGBTIQ+ people in the U.S. are being rolled back, Cuba is guaranteeing all rights for all people in its new Families Code.

Meanwhile, countries across Latin America are moving in the opposite direction. Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador have decriminalized or outright legalized abortion in the past two years. In Cuba, abortion has been universally accessible and free for all women since 1965.
Today millions of Cubans are expectedto vote in a national referendum to decide whether to approve a new Families Code, the most significant expansion of rights for LGBTIQ+ Cubans to date + some of the hemisphere’s most progressive laws on family issues.
