Under Fidel's leadership, Cuba founded the Latin American School of Medicine ELAM in 1999, offering free medical education to students from marginalized communities worldwide. This bold initiative embodies his belief that “humanity must be saved not with bombs, but with doctors”.

As Martin Luther King jr proclaimed “The U.S. is the biggest purveyor of violence.” Through militarism, war and sanctions, US government administrations have historically contributed to the destruction of land and the impoverishment of the majority of humanity.

We must realize our collective power to defend our rights and fight against the imposed injustices of a tyrant & oppressive economic and political system. We must organize & fight for the liberation of our people. We must for all we need & deserve, & must not settle for less.

Today, on the 60th anniversary of el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz, Malcom X' assassination by the capitalist state, as we approach 100 years of his life, we reflect on his dedication to, & deep love for the people. His sharp analysis of white supremacy, capitalism & U.S. imperialism.
