Thank you to @YousraElbagir for ongoing reporting. The situation in El Fasher is dire. Aid conveys reach the outskirts of the city, but then are blocked. Men with guns are starving hungry children.
Volunteers sent us rare footage from inside Al Fashir town - the city is in a complete state of paralysis from a tightened RSF siege forcing starvation on 900,000 people in the locality. Aid groups say their convoys are attacked by the RSF when trying to get food in.

For a lawyer to use the terms “voluntary” or “consent” in a context of violence like this, that there was an actual video of, is devastating. Most domestic violence victims encounter the legal system with no such evidence in hand to refute their abuser’s claims of consent.
