Exactly. You do literally all the work - make the movie. Market the movie. Build the fan base… and they keep all the money?.
@beaversfilm You end up doing so much of the work yourself that one has to wonder what the point of signing everything over actually was.

Correct. You’re so eager to get your film “out there” that you give up all the rights to the characters and movie you created… and the movie doesn’t really get “out there” anyway.
It’s probably not worth being one of a hundred+ titles some aggregator dumps onto Tubi (if that).

please spread this post: filmmakers, don't let a digital company / streamer lure you in if they're not going to do marketing for your movie. what they are really doing is buying the digital rights to your movie. so they can use them for. who knows what. down the road. .

@DiscussingFilm Not a bad film, but Hollywoodland has clearly not yet been sufficiently exposed to _Hundreds of Beavers_. @beaversfilm is clearly the greatest film of the 21st century, and probably the 22nd century as well once that finally rolls around.
