So let’s lower the smoking age back to 16? Why stop there — let’s make driving legal at 16 too. In fact, why not scrap all 18+ laws and give 16-year-olds unrestricted access to adult content?. See how absurd that sounds? Your logic doesn’t hold up.
16 & 17 year olds are better informed than most fucking boomers. Glad they’re finally getting a say in their own futures.

He only stays relevant because people like you keep giving him attention.
Nigel Farage has reached another level of depravity. Aligning the brave men and women who assisted the British Army in Afghanistan with sex offenders. Yes, he really went there. Nigel Farage’s latest repugnant bandwagon should surprise precisely; no-one.

Labour screwed them over back in the early 2000s — cutting pay and scrapping inflation-linked rises across the public sector. But the money’s gone. We’re in debt. And honestly, it’s the everyday workers who deserve more now.
The medical degree, along with further exams, is what it takes to practise medicine. Why does government think that the people who work so hard to achieve this level of expertise will remain as NHS employees, when NHS pay and conditions fail to reflect their professional worth?.

The average worker — the real champions of this country — earn less than £11 an hour. They can't afford restaurants, holidays, or days out. But sure, let’s pay doctors more… for saving lives? It's the everyday workers who keep those hospitals running.
1. Shaming doctors for doing literally anything nice for themselves that costs money (Going to a restaurant etc). 2. Paying doctors £17/hour.

This individual’s comments are vile. I’d go so far as to say they may be crossing the line into illegality, @metpoliceuk — something for your #CyberCrimes unit to consider. How hateful must someone be to target a child and parent simply for embracing their heritage? #Disgusting.
What a vile man prepared to sacrifice his daughter to further his own warped and twisted political ideology. Child abuse.

The 2008 crash happened because of unaffordable, overinflated loans and mortgages. Looks like we're heading straight for Financial Crash 2.0.
First-time buyers will be supported to get on the housing ladder, with the Bank of England allowing more lending at over 4.5x a buyer’s income. This reform could help 36,000 more people buy a home over its first year. Find out more about the reforms below.

People moan about paying £95 for a passport, but don’t bat an eye at spending £2,000 to get a driving licence — that’s £40 a year over 50 years, compared to just £9.50 a year for a passport. Seems like a bargain for official ID, really.
My passport runs out in October and I wasn't planning to renew it as I doubt I'll ever be well enough to travel again, but I won't be able to vote without it as I have no other form of photo ID. I have to pay £95 to vote. This is how it's supposed to work, isn't it?.

Since 2010? Are you stupid or just lying?. It was @UKLabour who cut pay and froze rises below inflation in 2002—Police, Fire, Ambulance all hit. @Conservatives brought pay back up to inflation after austerity caused by Labour.
Nurses have lost £70,000 in real terms since 2010. Starting salaries are £8,000 behind where they should be. This isn’t just numbers, it’s rent, food, childcare, dignity. We stand with our nurses. Pay restoration isn’t a luxury. It’s the bare minimum.

Technically, under constitutional law, protesting in the UK on behalf of foreign countries was once considered a threat to the Crown—and treated as treason. The Terrorism Act is just a modern version of the Treason Act. So, suck it up!.
Starmer’s Labour just passed a law: even if you win your appeal after being stripped of citizenship, you won’t get it back until the state runs out of ways to fight you. Two weeks ago, they labelled a non-violent direct action group as terrorists. Labour’s authoritarianism.

Oh, so you’re not okay with the UK taking in refugees? Funny stance for someone who supports mass migration without any checks….
Tory cover up with a super injunction could cost tax payers over £10 Billion! Safely relocating individuals involved from Afghanistan to the UK. Afghan relocation service. How can incompetence on such a level be covered up?.

Quick reminder: #Busting pay rises were handed out at the start of our authoritarian government, pushing UK #debt above £100B. Don’t you think you’ve had enough?.
Quick reminder: the government wants you to be angry at resident doctors, so that you ignore the fact they’re advancing NHS privatisation.

How many billionaires have throwaway cash to tax? Want to tax assets? Bye bye banks, water, energy companies. They just drop to minimum wage and poof — no tax left.
Don't let anyone tell you that there's no money, we are a £2.5 trillion economy. The 50 richest families in Britain are worth £500 billion, half of Britain's wealth. Taxing the richest 1% in one year would give us £25 billion. What is wrong with that choice? #WealthTax.
