Working with volunteers and council ecologists we recorded over 150 pollinating insects at Normand Park on a pollinator count. The meadow area had many hover flies and this beautiful common blue butterfly. The community garden had this tree bumblebee feeding on verbena.

Everyone enjoyed learning to identify different butterfly species at this workshop at Down Grange in Basingstoke. We recorded an amazing 14 different species using the iRecord butterflies app. The app is great for learning and doing surveys.

Great to see lots of pollinators on a walk around Hammersmith Park with @urbanwiselondon . The group helped record 119 pollinating insects with bumblebees the most abundant at 42. They loved the catmint in flowerbeds but the greatest variety were seen in native meadow and shrubs.

Brilliant family day at @HCGAGardens with fun activities like designing your own caterpillar inspired by their adaptations to avoid predation. Phoenix Farm has some great caterpillar food plants with garlic mustard supporting orange tip and white butterflies @savebutterflies

Montage of London's brilliant butterflies and all the great greenspaces that supports over 30 species. Simple steps like letting parts of your garden grow wild with long grass can increase butterfly numbers by 93% and attract a wider range of species. @savebutterflies
