We have been cutting grass around the new native shrub planting at Brockwell Park to help the shrubs establish. Shrubs like Hawthorn and Blackthorn provide valuable shelter and food sources for wildlife and are an important part of species-rich grassland habitats.

Brilliant to see this project getting started on Clapham Common! We are supporting with advice on wetland planting for butterflies and moths. Plants like Hemp Agrimony provide nectar for over 13 butterfly species and Cuckoo flower provides food for hungry Orange Tip caterpillars.
Starting next week, Iβll be working on an ambitious project to create a 1000sqm βWetland & Reedbedβ in the centre of #London! Iβll be working with @ClaphamCommon1 to turn part of Clapham Common into a community wildlife pond with pedestrian bridge, dipping platform, wildflower
