I think this discourse is out of date though. It’s already swinging back around to normalcy as the MCU fades to irrelevance. The precedent is action heroes had to look like Mr Olympia through the 80s but then Arnie went from True Lies into Junior and that’s when things shifted.

Trying to document “Canadian culture”in this way always leads to madness like this, where the “examples” are overwhelmingly hyper-regional things the vast majority of Canadians have never heard of — or if they *have* heard of them, they know them as rare, ancient, or unpopular.
