Mechanisms related to both economic incentives and social norms are likely in play – but our more general point is that not only inherited *informal* institutions (i.e., ”culture”) are transmitted across borders, but also *formal* institutions determined in legislative processes.

Idag slÀpps @axelcronerts och min studie om hur köerna pÄverkade deltagandet 2022. Deltagandet gick ner i ködrabbade distrikt med ca 1 procentenhet men effekten och köernas begrÀnsade omfattning innebÀr att det inte kan förklara mer Àn max 1/12 av den totala nedgÄngen.

De omdiskuterade köerna till vallokalerna förra Ă„ret var inte huvudförklaringen till att valdeltagandet sjönk. Deltagandet sjönk med ca 3 procentenheter, men köerna kan inte stĂ„tt för mer Ă€n 0,25. Det har uppsalaforskarna Axel Cronert och Marcus Österman kommit fram till. #svpol
