There are now 3 elite Olympic distances runners I know of who have suffered the same knee injury (meniscal root tear) which is typically associated with trauma/impact. 2 a coincidence, 3 a pattern? Be interesting to see more biomech studies on females & super shoes @BiomechMax

We’ve had an abnormal (I think) number of injuries this year amongst National team level athletes, me included. We aren’t just choosing to not race, it’s actually mandatory for Worlds selection this year. I certainly would love to have competed.
The following athletes are listed as scratches, and will not be competing at the Bell Canadian Track and Field Championships. List final as of June 20. Les athlètes suivants ne participeront plus au Championnats canadien d'athlétisme Bell. Liste définitive à partir du 20 juin.
