We are so so grateful for the crew that rushed to Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country to battle unprecedented fires. It is not an exaggeration to say that many homes and lives were saved due to their heroic efforts.
Malindi Elmore and her family dropped by Central Saanich fire hall today — with cards & sandwiches to thank the Island firefighters for saving their Kelowna home. The crew are amongst a record 652 structural firefighters battling the wildfires. #BCwildfires @CTVNewsVI

I have had to sprint finish 4 of my 6 marathons…just when I think I am going to cruise in I see a spot up for grabs. So hard to sprint the last 500m of a 42.2 Km race!!!!
