Contrary to the tweets being put out, we just wrapped an NPC meeting about NYC’s bylaws in a really solid place! It was comradely & we are all dedicated to working to find a path forward that upholds our democracy🌹

I really wish NYC-DSA took this advice. Raising money is absolutely necessary in this moment, but it's frustrating that it was done in an unnecessarily inflammatory, divisive and complicated way.

My two cents: it's good for DSA chapters to have local dues in addition to national dues, but it's bad to allow local voting rights to people who only pay local dues
