Using whole-genome sequences of 795 accessions of Triticum-Aegilops species, we reconstructed the spatiotemporal history of bread wheat and its wild relatives during the Holocene. All comments are welcome!

Deep knowledge of crop biodiversity is essential to improve global food security. Despite bread wheat serving as a keystone crop worldwide, the population history of bread wheat and its wild relati...

Only with HiFi reads, hifiasm also supports to output two highly contiguous primary assemblies, called dual assembly. We demonstrated dual assembly is more powerful than mapping-based methods in complex regions like GTF2IRD2. Assembly might be the ultimate solution to SV calling.

Our lab @lh3lh3 develops a single-sample phased assembler combining @PacBio HiFi and Hi-C, which has been heavily tested for human and non-human samples ( https://t.co/s7zc5rbII5). We believe haplotype-resolved assembly for every diploid individual is becoming real before our eyes

Routine single-sample haplotype-resolved assembly remains an unresolved problem. Here we describe a new algorithm that combines PacBio HiFi reads and Hi-C chromatin interaction data to produce a...

qTeller: A tool for comparative multi-genomic gene expression analysis 👍
The 'ahead of print' manuscript for qTeller is available at Bioinformatics. The MaizeGDB qTeller version, in collaboration with @szintri & @JustinWWalley labs, includes over 200 expression datasets mapped to the NAM founders and B73.

Hope!😀
First meeting with @GeneticsGSA today about how to a hybrid (online & in-person) #PEQG22. Excited about hosting the meeting here in Asilomar in June 2022! Please send me ideas/likes/concerns about how to do a hybrid conference!

I am glad that the first paper in our LU LAB is published on @NatureGenet This paper highlighted the role of evolutionary constraints in shaping agronomic traits of wheat, which will be useful while considering combining adaptive success across species for crop improvement 😀

Wright was convinced that the interaction of genetic drift and the other evolutionary forces was important in the process of adaptation. I want to be a women like that.

So amazing work! And I find some error in your supplementary files: page 23: 1. The number of de novo calls per child (Extended Data Fig. 3a-d) and 2. The number of transmitted singletons (Extended Data Fig. 3e-h), however the plot in Extended Data Fig. 3 has the reverse order.
The gnomAD package is officially out! We look at those genes where we see loss-of-function variants, but also those where we don't see any, and learn a lot about genes along the way:
