Grateful to be among the first #NAIRR Pilot award recipients invited to speak at a White House OSTP event on May 6. We are building #LakeGPT - a foundation model to forecast the quality of water in lakes across US using principles of Knowledge-guided ML #KGML.
In @ScienceMagazine: @anujkarpatne @VT_CS @SanghaniCtrVT sees AI as the key to forecast how climate change, land use & increased demand will affect water quality in U.S. lakes. His NAIRR award will accelerate progress on the model he has dubbed Lake-GPT.
