Excited to share my new post with reflections on the "who" question in carbon removal—the waves of actors who will need to meet the move-mountains challenge in front of us. Who's got next? Philanthropy and heavy industry. 1/2

Very elegant modeling exercise by @David_Koweek suggesting that artificial upwelling will not be a large player in the ocean CDR league

Such a well-written overview on geochemical CDR approaches, their differences and commonalities. The sub-title should be "the future is alkaline".
new review of mineral-based methods for #CDR ! I contributed to the biotech section. Big thanks to James Campbell, Daniel Pike, and @phil_renforth, who led the overall effort, and @D_R_Goodwin , @LoogerL , and @eboyden3 who developed bio ideas with me https://t.co/mZpALmZQ7K

The final post in a series of super insightful contributions from @DaiEllis about the near-future decisions that we'll face as we shape the CDR marketplace. All signs point to MRV as the hardest nut to crack and among the most important ones to focus on.
What's our vision for the future of the permanent CDR market? Excited to share the final post in my series — this time laying out six building blocks of a vision for CDR market shaping and how Frontier can most powerfully and creatively use its heft

Now accepting pre-proposals to get between $750k-$1.5M of funding each to develop prototypes that could enable safe, cost-efficient, and scalable OAE as a potential method for large-scale carbon dioxide removal (CDR). Tell your friends to apply! https://t.co/nm50YBsnOq

@RobertHoglund @bach_lennart Scaling to climatically relevant scales would require HCl disposal. It would be great if someone knowledgeable would write a paper comparing costs and challenges of HCl vs CO2 disposal at scale.

Could the efficiency of #OceanAlkalinityEnhancement be reduced through an Earth System Feedback where more alkalinity stimulates biotic calcification thereby reducing alkalinity again? We'll investigate this with funding from @AdditionalVent and we'll hire a postdoc. More below👇
